One of the beauties of video poker is that it is such an easy game to understand. Once players read over the rules of a particular variant of the game they are playing, it shouldn’t take more than a few practice runs to understand how to play. What is important is that players understand that there are different rules pertaining to video poker, whether playing single line or multi line video poker.
Essentially, in single line video poker players decide how much they want to bet and then press the ‘deal’ button to be dealt five cards. Cards that match a winning criterion are automatically held, and players can choose to discard as many cards as they wish. Thereafter, any winning combinations are paid out, depending on the version of video poker that is being played.
Multi line video poker is played in the same way that single hand video poker is, only there is more chance of winning! If a player plays a five-line video poker game, for example, one initial hand is dealt in the beginning of the game. The player then decides which cards to keep from that hand.
What is important to remember, however, is that the cards that are kept are duplicated in all five lines of the game. In a multi line video poker game of Jacks or Better, if a player is dealt two Jacks, these are automatically set aside by the machine and duplicated in all five lines. All the other cards are replaced on every line, allowing players numerous opportunities to earn winning combinations.
Multi line video poker is considered any video poker game that is more than one line. In the gambling industry today, it is possible to find video poker machines with as much as 100 hands! Obviously, this is not for the faint hearted as it involves a lot of noise, fast action and the need to concentrate exceptionally well. However, these types of games are fast becoming firm favorites in the online wagering world and bring players multiple chances of winning big!
